Friday I was with my family for the day. I enjoyed my iced tea wholeheartedly! Although I could tell that my appetite was not up to snuff as I could barely eat my lunch.
I also assembled the shower gift for a friend next week. It was satisfying to complete, but after that, I was done for the day.
So I finished up a little bit of ice cream that was in the freezer. This is really good if you haven't tried it!
I also took the opportunity to trim my nails since John was awake. I figured if I couldn't get them, he could. I was able to...but I don't think I'll be able to again for a while. Now to bribe someone to paint them for me.... 😂

Saturday was not my day. I burned my bagel for breakfast. The other side looked worse!
So I made oatmeal! But with my appetite still not up to snuff, I could barely eat it.
You can tell it's spring, and good weather again, as the sounds of the nearby school band drift across. We were hoping to go out in the evening but with how I was feeling, we decided not to. Ice cream sounded good again, so we went down to Byrne Dairy for the first soft serve of the year! It wore me out though. Recovering from this stomach bug feels like the first trimester all over again.

John made me some breakfast in bed before he left. It was a smoothie and it settled well so I was thankful! I'm skittish with the blender right now as it seems to dislike me. He hasn't had issues with it, so he has been regaled the task of using it.
Napping took up a good deal of the day. I did go down and check out some cookbooks my neighbor was getting rid of. The fresh air felt nice, so we opened the windows in our little abode. John had never seen this Bill Murray classic before, so we watched it together.
I also tried to catch up some reading. So thankful for the recliner! This was in the kids' section as a biography for "young readers". It was an excellent read, but I would not label it as such. It touches on topics that are suitable for 14 yrs and up or so. Now, I'm debating about a hot shower or if I just want to slowly head to bed. There are a lot of things I'd like to do tomorrow, but I'm reminding myself to take it easy so I feel like myself again. Well, as much as you can with a little wiggle worm inside you. 😉💙 He loves it when John is nearby!
