In which Edward turns One!

"When are you due?" asked the clerk at Byrne Dairy.

"A week ago." I said laughing. "We are headed up to the hospital today to have him evicted!"

Exactly 16 hrs to the minute after this was taken, Edward Allen arrived!

8lbs, 8oz; 20.5 in long!

He and Daddy got to spend a lot of time bonding. 💙

We love you, our sweet little Eddie! We've enjoyed this first year with you and can't wait to see what the next one has in store! You now have 4 teeth, have walked a tiny bit, and eat like a champ! You've breastfed for a year which is an accomplishment for both of us! You are such a people person and adore all attention. You're great at playing by yourself but you like to keep an eye on Mommy and Daddy. We pray that you will grow in the Lord as you continue to get older! Church is one of your favorite places to be. We love you, Eddie!!! Can't wait for more adventures!

2 Year Anniversary!

Marriage is about taking the ordinary, the everyday, and turning it into something...

...extraordinary!

Two years of marriage, still a lifetime to go. Every day we lay our selfishness aside and strive to serve one another to the best of our abilities. We put one another first whenever we can. And most importantly, we listen to God's call on our lives. We seek Him in all we do, in our marriage and in parenting. I'm so thankful for all the lessons, trials, and experiences God has put us through in the past couple years. I can't wait to see what He's going to do next!

One more month and he will be a year old! He's been standing unassisted the past few days. Yesterday he took a tiny step here and there before falling down. He's super close to walking! He's enjoying the few play-dates we've had recently and can't wait to start seeing friends and family again! He lights up when he sees those he loves and makes peoples days so much better. Love you kiddo!

10 months old today. He's slowly starting to stand unassisted! Usually when we aren't looking and paying attention though. He's still not to keen on learning "dada" but will "mamamama" all day long! He loves any food, but currently sweets because he loves the "speed" he gets after them. It's absolutely adorable! We've been in quarantine for a month now and he definitely misses his friends young and old. He is such a people person!! 💙

Still so close to walking. He has a ferocious appetite and loves everything but applesauce. His new favorite thing is mud. Mud to eat, mud puddles, mud on his hands but not his toes. He makes everyone's day better - near and far. He has a gift with that that I hope we can cultivate. So thankful to be his momma!
