April Adventures - Day 12

Started off my day with a checkup! All is well and then I headed off for a birthday adventure day with my family! We decided to celebrate it a day early since I only know about half the plans for tomorrow, so I'm excited to find out the rest.

Off to Seneca Falls we went! First we stopped at the thrift store since they have the best one. I got myself some new shirts and a couple things for Eddie because I can't resist board books that are adorable, haha!

Then we stopped for lunch!

After that we went to Sauders and got a few things. I also got some gummy bears and peach rings (and shared like a good person) as I had been thinking about them recently but haven't actually gotten them for myself.

We stopped at a playground too!

By then, we needed coffee so mom and I stopped for some delicious Dunkin Donuts.

And when I got to my family's house, I knew spring was here and my birthday was nearly here as the daffodils always bloom a day or so before my birthday!

Ansel was semi-happy to see me. He was more interested in curling up on the dance costumes and napping, which I don't blame him.

S gave me a "pedicure" for my birthday gift as I've been wanting to repaint my toes but just physically can't anymore.

She did hers after that, and then posed with her new shoes and a dress I got her recently. And then it began to rain.

So I played Boggle with F and Nine Men's Morris with T. I used a faster timer with Boggle to even the playing field a little bit.

T kept winning which was not fair, haha! We came back to the apartment, where John had dinner already to go, ice cream in the freezer, and cake in the fridge!

After dinner, I opened my gifts. G wrote a comic retelling of "The Nose" by the Brothers Grimm which she gave me with a homemade pop-up card. F gave me a wallet she had made as well as a birthday card with a hidden message. T gave me a quarter and a homemade Tic-Tac-Toe game she designed! My mom and dad had a pretty spring tablecloth and a couple fun knick-knack signs to put up. And my sweet husband got exactly what I had asked for! No sarcasm here as I desperately wanted new cooking utensils! And power strips. 😂

And he surprised me with the pretty glasses I had seen recently. 💙

He also picked out a really cute and delicious cake!

We ended our evening with a beautiful sky! I'm so thankful I got to celebrate today with my family, and I'm excited to see what is in store tomorrow. 20 years down, and forever to go! God is good! 💙
