Fillmore
O'Sullivan purred as he peered through his binoculars. He was the CEO
of the Feline Fleet. Their mission in life was to enable all felines
who desired to explore the galaxies. The ships were second to none.
Everything was state of the art quality. Nothing had been skimped on.
His newest acquisition was five new starships. As he gazed at them,
he continued to purr. Those ships were the best yet. He could hardly
wait to send the newest members of the Feline Fleet out to continue
to traverse the skies. Setting the binoculars down, he suavely
slinked toward his office.
When
he reached his office, he jumped onto his desk. He was so happy about
the new ships that he decided to celebrate. He buzzed for his
secretary.
“Yes
sir?” came a voice over the intercom.
“Two
bowls of milk with dashes of catnip.” he replied.
“Yes
sir.” came the voice.
A
few moments later, his secretary came in with a cart. The tantalizing
aroma was almost too much for Fillmore. His excitement was through
the roof! Yet, he wanted to celebrate properly, so he hopped off his
desk and offered the second bowl to his secretary.
“Cheers!”
declared he as he lapped up every last drop.
The
following day dawned, and although they were on their space dock, so
technically there was no dawn, the excitement among the felines grew
as the new starships would be christened today. Talk spread among
them that Fillmore himself would be taking the first starship out of
the space dock to test drive it with his faithful crew.
“This
is a momentous day!” he began into the microphone.
Meows
of agreement filled the air.
“I
will remember this.” he continued as he looked over the felines who
had come to celebrate. “I will remember this for a long time. This
is a big leap for the felines. Fastest starships yet. Be proud to be
a feline. For we may be small, but our paws are mighty. We can reach
all that we strive to reach!”
